Kristy is an Entrepreneur, Public Speaker & Trainer who speaks on topics such as leadership, entrepreneurship, business, digital communication and public relations. She has managed Online Media Units that produce online content, interviews and videos for use in digital promotions & social media channels.
Kristy graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Software Development from the world-renowned institute NIIT, at the age of 14. Shortly after completion of her course, she was offered a position as the primary web developer for a groundbreaking Clinic Management Software by the government-funded NGO, PrimaCare. The software included the ability to record individual patient symptoms to produce a list of possible causes to assist with diagnosis. Her work on this software led to her being later invited to present its technical aspects at the Open Source Healthcare Alliance conference held in the University of California, Los Angeles.
Kristy would go on to join her family in starting a web development firm that specialises in website development, social media marketing and custom web systems. Her background in Software Development and Entrepreneurial Management has equipped her with both the practical experience and theoretical framework to advise organisations of all sizes - from one-man startups to public-listed companies and Government-linked corporations.
She focuses on using IT and Websites to both market their offerings as well as streamline the day-to-day operations of core departments. From setting up the Online Media Unit for Berjaya University College to developing custom "property application" systems for UDA Holdings Berhad, Kristy has the ability to identify the needs of a company and tailor-make solutions that would meet their requirements and exceed expectations.
Her wealth of experience and passion for teaching, combined with her MBA in Entrepreneurial Management (which she graduated with at the age of 21), has benefited both industry professionals as well as students in various local University Colleges where she has been invited as a guest speaker on the subjects of Social Media, Online Communications, IT and Entrepreneurship.

Kristy was invited to join the IABC APAC #Fusion18 "Communicating For A Better World" panel alongside Tasneem Chopra and Jane Kneebone of Diabetes Victoria. The session received positive feedback and was well-received by conference attendees.

Kristy spoke on how can Chapter leaders can ensure succession and stability through effective recruitment and 'head-hunting' practices at the IABC APAC 2018 Leadership Institute in Melbourne.

PRE-WORLD CONFERENCE WORKSHOP SPEAKER
Kristy was invited to speak at the Pre-Conference Workshops held by APAC at the 2016 IABC World Conference in New Orleans, USA.
She also joined in as a panel speaker to discuss and contrast cross-cultural communication. Her sessions were well reviewed by the IABC APAC Committee and attendees.
IABC/ MALAYSIA - PRESIDENT
Invited to speak, and subsequently, join the Board of the Malaysian chapter of the Intl Association of Business Communicators (started in the USA, with over 12,000 members in more than 80 countries). On the 18th AGM in April 2016, Kristy was nominated by then President Aisha Rashid, and elected by the Board, to take over the Presidency role of the association.
